With help from the creator of the GameMaker Studio engine "Sonic MAX" and a lot of other great people, I managed to createĪ Sonic Engine for Game Maker that not only feels close to the original games, but is also easy to use! (You can't run the 8.x version on Studio due to missing functions and unsupported extensions)
While the Engine was only supposed to be for GM.8.x we also ported it to the newest stable build of Game Maker:Studio. GMate is a game engine created by Violet (Me) for GameMaker 8+, trying to capture the feel Sonic 2 had as good as possible.
